Mommy Makeover

While being a mother can be the greatest feeling in the world, pregnancy and nursing can take a toll on your body. Some women can go back to their pre-pregnancy bodies by just diet and exercise, while for some simply diet and exercise may not be enough. For those women mommy makeover can be a great option to gain the body they desire or they previously had.
From a cosmetic standpoint, Mommy Makeovers address pregnancy-related changes in both the breasts and the tummy.
Mommy Makeovers Counter the Physical Effects of Pregnancy
On an average, most women gains about 10 to 25 kg during pregnancy. This weight is stored as fatty tissue in the breasts, abdomen, flanks (love-handles), hips, lower back, buttocks and thighs. The breasts grow in preparation for nursing. But there is now a good news; a mommy makeover can help you look your best again.
As the baby grows, so does the abdomen. This may result in a weakening and separation of the abdominal muscles, and stretching of the abdominal skin. This stretching may cause a breakage of the skin collagen, also known as stretch marks. These unsightly marks are purple-red in color and concentrated around the belly button and lower abdomen.
These effects often become even more apparent after childbirth and nursing. These effects can be easily reversed by mommy makeover. Many women lose weight over a period of time, unfortunately, the weight loss is not proportional to the amount of fatty tissue in a given area. As a result there might be weight loss from different places like breasts, buttocks, abdomen and waist may not be consistent and enough. In these cases, a mommy makeover may be in order.
At Srijan Hospital we perform 4D VASER tummy tuck for abdominoplasty

During an abdominoplasty procedure, the skin over abdomen is elevated off the abdominal muscles, and excess skin and fat is removed from the lower portion of the skin flap. This is just the simplified explanation of the procedure. The remainder of abdominal skin still thick due to the fat, just lesser amount of fat. To achieve better contours, the redundant skin needs to be removed, and thus giving a tighter appearance to the abdomen. However, by not thinning the remaining skin, there will not be any improvement in muscular definition. If you don’t have skin that is thin and musculature that is well developed, abdominoplasty alone will have limited results. There will be substantial improvement in the contours but, it will be limited by the fact that the appearance will be very two dimensional – kind of like a sheet pulled flat down till taut. If you are one of those people with thin skin and a well developed musculature, then you will have more definition after an abdominoplasty naturally.
